Verdict: TRADE WAIT
All New X-Men #3 and #4
Marvel Comics Writer: Brian Michael Bendis Artist: Stuart Immonen
I thought that Waid’s Daredevil was Marvel’s best series in years, but this blows it out of the water. That could be nostalgia and my love of the X-Men from my childhood, but I love this book.
Verdict: BUY
Animal Man (2011-) #15
DC Comics Writer: Jeff Lemire Artist: Steve Pugh
Verdict: BUY
Detective Comics (2011-) #15

The first Luther Strode series was a surprise hit and here is more in all it’s gory goodness.

Batman (2011-) #15
DC Comics Writer: Scott Snyder Artist: Greg Capullo
A bit slower in pace from the last two issues of Batman, but that doesn’t make it any less great. Last issue gave us the psychological impact that Joker was having on Bruce, but here we see the psychological impact that the events are having upon the Bat family.
Verdict: BUY

Red Hood and the Outlaws (2011-) #15
DC Comics Writer: Scott Lobdell Artist: Timothy Green
Verdict: BUY
Saga #8
Image Comics Writer: Brian K. Vaughan Artist: Fiona Staples
I love this book. It is a perfect blend of sci-fi and fantasy with lots of twists, turns, shock, and awe. It can be hilarious when you are least expecting it. Fiona Staples’ art is growing and evolving with every issue. Everyone needs to be reading this.
Verdict: BUY
Justice League (2011-) #15
DC Comics Writer: Geoff Johns Artist: Ivan Reis
Ivan Reis drawing — need I say more? Yes, I actually do need to say more. This is one of the better written issues of this series and the “Throne of Atlantis” arc is off to a great start.
Verdict: BUY
